Jay Frye Sizzles: New IndyCar competition president Jay Frye is settling into his new office at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While IRR couldn’t confirm the fact that Frye has been complaining loudly of “old man stink” after his predecessor Derrick Walker moved out, we couldn’t disconfirm it, either.

Munoz Isn’t Moving: Cunning Colombian Carlos Munoz will return to his Andretti Autosport ride for 2016, the team recently announced. Coming off of his first win last season in Detroit – which Munoz accurately described as just “ok”Michael Andretti apparently decided he needed to keep some talent on the team in order to help carry Marco. Accidentally redefining the team’s moniker, Michael’s AA outfit lately stands for “About Average.”

False Rumors Shot Down: Contrary to reports to the contrary, swingin’ single Josef “Joltin’ Joe” Newgarden is not the person primarily responsible for the current explosion of STDs across the US after all. Certain sleaze specializing sites were a bit premature with this story, it seems. Turns out he’s only responsible for about half of all reported new cases.

Parisian Problems. Most IndyCar fans don’t realize that animated owner/driver of the #20 Fuzzy’s Vodka car Ed Carpenter was born in Paris. When our intrepid reporters asked Ed how he felt about the atrocities committed by Islamic terrorists in his hometown, Ed’s reply was particularly poignant.  Said Ed, “I was born in Paris, Illinois you idiots!”
